Wind Farm “CHUBUT NORTE II, III y IV”

The Wind Farms CHUBUT NORTE II, III y IV” are located in the Northeast of the Province of Chubut, on National Route 3 KM 1375.3, approximately 20 km north of the junction between RN 3 and RP 4.

The closest town is Puerto Madryn located approximately 18 km from the property.

Has a total area of ​​7,355 ha where 38 wind turbines were installed as follows:

• CHUBUT II: 6 wind turbines.
• CHUBUT III: 13 wind turbines.
• CHUBUT IV: 19 wind turbines.

which develop and provide a maximum power of approximately 167 Mw to the interconnected system..

Wind turbines are made up of a 120 meter high concrete tower where the Nacelle is located with a turning diameter of 149 meters , delivering a power of 4.4 Mw.

During construction and in its maximum peak of workers, we have a total of 503 people of different nationalities such as Venezuelans, Brazilians, Spanish, Ukrainians, Chileans, Uruguayans, Germans and Argentines, who performed different activities and professions to achieve the desired objective.

The different tasks that a work of these magnitudes requires were made according to the following technical data:

• 388,041 m2 of circulation roads clearing.
• 329,973 m2 of platform clearing for wind turbines.
• 444,022 m2 of clearing for the Medium Voltage network circuits.
• 22,791 m2 of clearing for construction areas.

For mounting the wind turbines, a total of 3 main cranes were used:

• Liebherr LR1600 (600TN) for mounting of T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, Nacelle, hub, drive train and blades.
• Crane (Kobelco-CRANE 250) for pre-assembly of segments and assembly of TO.

THE PERFORMED SERVICES IN THIS PROJECT WERE THE FOLLOWING:

• General management service in HSE on site.
• Health and Safety Advisory and Responsibilities Service.
• Preparation of the General Environmental Management Plan.
• Environment Service on site.
• Logistic Service. (Reception of large components and warehouse management).
• Purchase management service on site.
• TSA Quality Service (Wind Turbine Assembly Controls).
