Wind Farm “VIENTOS BONAERENSES I”

The Wind Farm “VIENTOS BONAERENSES I” is located to the south of the province of Buenos Aires, in the Tornquist district, near “Paraje García del Río” and approximately 5km from the town of Tres Picos, taking as a reference the northeast corner of the Project.

It has a total area of ​​2.347 ac where were installed 30 wind turbines which develop and provide a maximum power of approximately 100 Mw to the interconnected system..

Wind turbines were made up on one 120-meter-high concrete tower a total of 1,082 tons where the Nacel is located with a turning diameter of 130 meters, delivering 3.4 Mw power.

During the construction and, in its maximum peak of workers, a total of 635 people were available of different nationalities such as Venezuela, Brazil, Spain, Chile, Mexico and Argentina, performed different activities and professions to achieve the desired objective.

The different tasks that a work of these magnitudes requires were made according to the following technical data:

  • 250. 000 m3 clearing and movement of soil.
  • 410 m3 of concrete for each hollow foundation.

In addition, 43 tons of steel were used for the different foundations and 23 km of collection network were made towards the Transformer Sub Station.

A total of 3 main cranes were used to assemble the wind turbines:

  • LR 1600 and LTR 1600 for assemblies of T1, T2, T3, T4 and T5, Nacelle, Hub and Blades.
  • 4 auxiliary cranes for pre-assembly and unloading of cranes in three components.
THE SERVICES PERFORMED IN THIS PROJECT WERE THE FOLLOWING:
  • General management service in HSE on site.
  • Health and Safety Advisory and Responsibilities Service.
  • Preparation of the General Environmental Management Plan.
  • Environmental service on site.
  • Logistic Service. (Reception of large components and warehouse management).
  • Cleaning services for construction offices.
